Proverbs 19-21

Proverbs 19-21

Today we are traveling from NC to Ohio to spend time with family….about a 10 hour drive for us with the stops we make, so my entries for the next 5 days may be a tad shorter than usual.

As we have observed, Proverbs send each of us a very personal message depending upon where we are. But isn’t it awesome that God gives us EACH something special because HE knows where we are, what we need, and what we can absorb.

Last year my mentor did something that I found very helpful. Since Proverbs are fairly self explanatory, and since each of us are getting our own personal message from our Abba Father, I’m going to use her idea.

Here is your assignment— please pick just ONE favorite verse from EACH chapter, share it if you dare, write them on 3×5 cards and put them in your pocketbook, notebooks, car, on your bathroom mirrors, in the water closet, on the inside of your kitchen cabinet, at your desk, on your computer, etc…. and memorize it by Tuesday July 3rd. You NEVER know when you will need to have a scripture on your heart, when you don’t have your Bible, and things are chaotic. IF you pick 3 and memorize them, be sure to meditate on them daily so when you need them…they will be written on your heart and they will flow from your mouth.

Here are my three:

19:21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart,
but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
20:5 The purposes of a man’s heart are deep waters,
but a man of understanding draws them out.
21:21 He who pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity, and honor.

Have a great weekend!!
